Organizing a successful rally is a big task that is going to require you to take care of multiple different elements. It can be helpful, when organizing a rally, to have a team assigned to work on each element of the rally. For a successfully rally, you need permits, you need to advertise, and you need to organize a stage and sound system.

#1 Permits

Getting the permits is one of the most important parts of putting on a rally. Without the permits, none of the other steps matter! You need permits to ensure your rally doesn't get shut down before it even has a chance to get started.

To get permits, start out by contacting the local government agencies in your area. They will be able to help you file for a permit. Then contact the local police department; you generally have to coordinate with them as well for a permit. The police need to know how large the rally is to determine what type of presence they need to have to ensure the safety of the event.

Keep in mind that permits cost money, so your rally needs to have some sort of a budget in order to pursue permits.

#2 Publicity

Once you have the space for your event, you need to start publicizing the event! Publicizing the event will help you inform people about the event and get them to the rally. Publicizing the event will also help you connect with businesses and other organizations who may want to help sponsor the rally or be involved in another way.

If you start early enough, you can advertise and find businesses and organizations to partner with first. Once you have some partners on board, you can start advertising to get people to attend the actual event. Don't just advertise; create a social media presence so people can get together and discuss the event ahead of time.

#3 Stage & Sound

You are going to need a stage and a sound system for your rally. You may need to rent a podium as well as generators to provide power to the sound and lightening equipment. You will need to rent sound and lighting equipment as well.

This is where having partners can really help your rally. Your business and community partners may be able to provide some of this equipment or help you rent it. You need a place for the speakers and groups to perform.

In order to have a successful rally, you need to secure the right permits. Then, you need to bring on community organizations and businesses to support the rally. They can support the rally financially and they can help bring in an audience for your event. Contact a service, like crowds on demand, for further help.

About Me
Having Fun Planning Your Own Wedding

My name's Melissa. Welcome you to my website. I’m so excited to share about my wedding. My husband Jack and I got married five months ago. We planned our entire wedding by ourselves. It wasn’t that we didn’t have parents, family, or friends that wanted to help. In fact, they were all begging to help but we wanted to do this on our own. Before embarking on the wedding planning, we made one promise to each other. That promise was simply, "no stress." Sound impossible? We thought it might be because we had heard numerous times how stressful planning a wedding can be. We had a blast! If something started to get a bit touchy, we found a way to turn it around and make it a fun adventure. I’m going to tell you how we did it, and I hope you will be able to do the same. Enjoy!
